Okay, this is Part 2 of our Legoland Trip which I should be motivated to type long time ago.... Somehow I took soooo long to find the time to do it, so sorry for the lack of update...but anyway here it is!
So where did I stop?
Oh I was supposed to share with you guys how Le Xin finally found a place where she could have some fun!!!
The previous post I mentioned that poor Le Xin could not reach the height limit for most of the rides in Legoland.
Fortunately there was.....
Lego Duplo PlayTown which was suitable for toddlers!
Le Xin was playing with one of the playground equipment
She tried to rock the equipment on her own :)
As usual, she enjoys climbing,
and sliding through the tunnel of course!
Next, she went on a mini train ride with Travis Kor Kor...
She took the ride two times, for the second ride, Tricia joined in :)
I think Travis started to feel a little tired so he rested his head on the tram and Le Xin imitated him too soooo cute :)
We decided to take a break and head on to a fast food restaurent to rest, Le Xin took a piece of nugget from Ah Yi and started munching...
Time for photo taking again, I like how Le Xin puts on her cap!
The children were very excited to sit on the elephant made from lego!
We saw a really nice water fountain and Daddy carried Le Xin and placed her little feet into the water....The water so cold she said!
Maybe we should keep parots in our home too! All made using Legos!
I really love this photo of my sister and her family on the ride simply because I managed to capture all their smiles~ I guess my photography skill wasn't that bad afterall? haha BHB!
Look at photo below, the one that my sister took ......
Daddy Scott looked like he was constipating, Tricia gave a very fake smile, Travis so cute but was blocked, as for me okok I don't think I need to go on.........Bin you really need to work on your photography skill :p
While we were queueing up to take our Lego Train ride, Daddy Scott and Le Xin "BONDED" again hahaha
Firstly, he tried to poke Le Xin with his finger which made Le Xin laughed like mad!
Then Daddy Scott tried to cuddle Le Xin so tight she looked as if she almost can't breath :p
Tickling her tummy....
Tilting her side way....
Daddy Scott pretending to cry when Le Xin wanted to stop!
And just where she had forgotten to "take cover" - meaning protect herself.......
Daddy Scott attacked her and.....

Le Xin with Handsome Travis!
Le Xin in the train! Haha her button nose sooooo cute!
Puff Puff Toot Toot! Off we go......Wow I really look very sleepy haha and nope I do not like the scary head popping out beside me all thanks to my sister >>> good at taking photo right? :p
Travis, Bin and Tricia on the train ride...
Le Xin in her Nissan Lego Race Car!
Being interviewed by Lego Man!
Almost the same height as Le Xin.....haha so cute!
Daddy Scott bought Le Xin a big blue balloon, it was a pity she burst it about 15 mins later. She didn't even cry or appeared scared, she just looked at me innocently and said Mummy my balloon burst already!
Almost time to leave Legoland, as we bid goodbye to a very hot but interesting place, we still rejoice being together.....as a family of 3 :)
Here's my reflection for our Legoland trip! Initially, I was contempting whether to bring Le Xin to Legoland or not. Firstly, I am worried about her safety afterall this was her first trip out of SG. Secondly, I knew that the rides arent very suitable for her age but I really wish to expose her to a different setting in another country! It was through this trip then I realised Le Xin's true ability to wait, her patience in waiting for adults to do their stuff is remarkable! She can just sit on her pram quietly to wait for us while we were on our ride, cheering and clapping for us when she was excited!
Well, I wonder if you experience this too? Hearing people preaching to you that "Your child is still so young, she doesn't know anything so you shouldn't be wasting your money bringing her to another country!" I do not completely agree with them, surprisely when I am writing this post in May (actual day) Le Xin who was by my side could instantly shout Legoland! when she saw me adding the photos for this post. After the trip, she could also shared with me verbally-------> some of things she saw at Legoland when we revisited the experience by looking at the photos taken.
I still believe it's important to bring a child out to see the world especially when they are young! It's pretty abstract to explain why? Some might argue that it's not worth because young children usually cannot retain their memory of the experiences they had but who is to judge? To me, travelling oversea at a young age gives the child a different kind of exposure and feeling that is difficult to describe through words, well there's some truth that someday she might forget the entire experience not even when she looks at the photos but I guess we should still treasure that moment that we spent together!
To conclude my long theory above: IF YOU CAN TRAVEL WITH YOUR CHILD/CHILDREN AS MUCH AS YOU CAN DURING HIS/ HER PRESCHOOL YEARS Then do so! You need not have to care too much about what others have to say or let their opinions affect you. They are not the one leading your life, don't let their negative thoughts rule your mind.
Be it going oversea or just indulging your time with your child in some of the hottest local places of interest in Singapore what's most important it's to truly make sure that every trip is a meaningful and wonderful experience! Meaning you need to interact, you must not be lazy to explore and explain and most importantly NEVER BE TOO PROTECTIVE! If possible, guide your child and let them explore freely but don't forget to always PRAY FOR SAFETY!
They are super duper cute during this period and I am sure you won't want to miss the fun and cute dialogues that you might be having with them during the trip.
Back to Legoland!
Will I ever bring Le Xin there again ---> Maybe not unless there are new things coming up....
Reason: Too hot and nothing much to play!
Cost: I think it still quite affordable $55 per pax for adult, Le Xin is free because she is below 3 (I pay the ticket for me and Daddy Scott at special rate, I think if it's the normal price then it's not worth at all)
Pros: Good exposure on constructions with lego, very interesting and creative! Everything is colourful and cute and yes I mad love their CLEAN TOILET haha!
Cons: Not many rides for toddlers, except for the mini train ride at the Lego Duplo Playtown , the rest of the rides are really too kiddy except for the roller coaster. Seriously, I don't think even Primary School children will love it, okay maybe they will but not really suitable for upper Primary kids and teenagers. As for adults, I think you can forget about it unless you want to go back to your tong nian or just accompany your child to have some "fun".
I hope Legoland has: More benches, more shady places where people can escape from the hot burning sun, more exciting rides, come one don't spin one or two round up and down, left and right and expect people to queue for such a long time for a ride, can be quite irritating :( I guess with the Legoland Water Play Ride coming along it should be fun!!!!
Food Wise: Good! Malaysia is well known for their good food so I guess nothing bad to say about it hahaha
Overall: 6/10
Ending off with this cute video of Le Xin on her ride @ PlayTown :)
Ciaoz~
Le Xin was so excited that she stood up and the person has to ask her to sit down!
Le Xin was busy waving at me haha :)
